Customization and Personalization in Online Political News: Multi-method dissertation project examining the macro level differences between customizers and non-customizers in the 2008 election through survey analysis and micro level information processing effects of news customization and personalization through an online experiment.

Political Entertainment: A series research projects investigating the measurement, processes and effects of awareness of political content in entertainment media. (with Heather LaMarre and Kristen Landreville)
Web Content Creation: Awarded a 2008 summer survey research fellowship through the The Ohio State University to focus on digital inequalities and public opinion ramifications of online content creation.
Framing Global Warming: Produced videos framing global warming in various ways. Investigating measurement and processes of opinion formation and change. (with Erik Nisbet)
Web Customization: Research project investigated differences in web-use between users who use a customized portal vs non-customized portal for my masters thesis.
Health Tailoring: Worked with Polimetrix to explore the effects of experimentally targeted and tailored online health information. (with Dr. Anthony Roberto & Dr. Janice Raup-Krieger)
Media Analysis: Programmed Robomaker robot to archive newspaper stories from Newsbank based on user-input search terms and date range for use in content analysis. (For project led by Dr. William Eveland) (2007)
Comm 813 Wiki: Setup and helped contribute to graduate seminar experimental wiki project led by Dr. Gerald Kosicki. (Using MediaWiki) (2007)
KCSB: Worked as a programmer and helped engineering department in various aspects (2003-2006)
SBCAN: Served on the board of directors (2005-2006)
Santa Barbara Independent Media Center: Helped launch SBIMC’s web presence, administered website and secured funding for organization (2003-2006)
ACRN: Worked as a programmer, served as music director and managed migration to icecast broadcasting tools (1999-2003)
The Wire: Helped found community free space. Worked with group to develop a consensus process, non-profit status and financing (2002-2003)
